Ours eats like a king, but is a little picky of the flavors. He gets "Stella and Chewy's" raw meat (comes frozen). He doesn't like rabbit and is moderate on beef and lamb and vennison. He loves chicken, duck-duck-goose, and surf-n-turf.

We've heard that because dachshunds were hunting dogs, that they'll just eat and eat. Ours and his brother ate like that. And another that was about the same age, but not sure if he is/was related was a chubby little thing.
