Built in September 1978, this Euro SC was imported and sold before the end of the year - hence titled as a 78 model. Very common in the SC world as each year the model production period ran from August the previous year to the following July.
To translate that to sales, new models were on boats towards the end of the year and often landed and sold prior to the start of the new year.
This car has been extremely well cared for and has just been treated to a top-end rebuild as well as a beautifully done glass out repaint in the factory color of Guards red. A ceramic treatment followed once the paint cured and the result is evident. Mileage since the rebuild is just short of 500 and the total miles on the chassis are 91,000 and change. The break in oil has just been changed and the valves adjusted, and she is ready to get in the road. All seals were refreshed during this process and the targa top fits as well as any I have ever had.
Interior is very good - motor is strong and the car drives extremely well.
