That's a good question. I would figure around here, if there was a problem, it would start showing up by now. I'm more worried about everything that is still steel underneath. Seems like the newer a vehicle is, the less corrosion protection there is under it, or maybe it just seems that way because the body lasts longer. I had a 2000 F150, the rear brake lines rusted out. One blew while towing a trailer, that was a code brown moment. I also thought it had a pinion seal leak, replaced the seal, refilled the diff, noticed a wet spot on the back of the pumpkin. Wiped it off, a few minutes later it was wet again. The diff cover had rusted through.
Maybe I should bring a creeper along when I go to look at trucks.
