Sadly, the Takamine F-400 12-string I bought new in the late '70s is hard to play, and frankly, the tone isn't that great after being re-strung. I saw that Mighty Fine Guitars had a 21 year old Taylor that was in excellent condition, and it plays and sounds night and day better (so I grabbed it). It's a bargain compared to the gold standard Guilds.
