Always a great reminder, Baz, thanks.
Quick Sea Story (the Army guys secretly love them

) written here before:
There was an Australian SH-60 Detachment on one of the Australian ships during the first Gulf War.
We became fast friends and I introduced them the Desert Ducks (great parties while in port), the local HHH's and other British Expats.
While USN ships do not allow alcohol onboard underway, I always had frozen candy, cold drinks and food if the helicopter crews working the Gulf landed aboard. No charge.
The Australian pilots loved it and would give use special runs of parts and Pony if there was any in Manama.
On he second day out after a very raucous in port period with them, they landed on us with passengers and other stuff.
"Kilo 3 Delta, last two boxes are for you, Boss."
Two cases of Fosters - not the premium brand but it was cold and wet.
I asked my CO to come down and he agreed to let me have a hanger party that night, one beer only, since we were not schedule for any more visits.
Worked out perfectly.
Best to all my ANZAC brothers and sisters.
