Luigisdad, I am the owner of a 2002 C2 Cab and I do a fair amount of my own work. I have a couple of comments on the deferred maintenance. First, the low internet prices for Porsche brand products looks higher than you can get at Pelican which sponsors this forum. Second, you do not have to get the Porsche brand product - except for the passenger side vanity mirror - where there is no other option. In many cases, the OEM may not even be Porsche. Porsche just puts it in their own box. I look at it this way. If it is a part like a brake pad or rotor that is going to wear out anyway and I'm not racing the car, I get the OEM or similar. If it is something, that if it breaks, I am going to be stuck on the side of the road, I will pay for a brand name. Here is how I would prioritize it: if you have no record of the Intermediate Shaft Bearing (IMS) being replaced, I would do that and have the clutch replaced and the transmission fluid replaced all at the same time. This is $$$$. If you would rather not spend $5K on that right now, I would do the following: O2 sensors, oil and filter, air and cabin filter, drive belt and tensioners (and while you have the belt off, you should replace the water pump. The original has a composite impeller and you don't want that flaking off into the engine). Brakes and pads - but you can wait until the warning light comes on. Followed by engine mounts, but only if they are leaking or otherwise obviously not working. Spark plugs and coils. Pelican has tutorials for all of these. Next I would do the valve covers only if leaking. Check your driveshafts to make sure the rubber boots are OK and top off your fluids. These things cover a lot of your major service anyway, so you can cross that off the list. Sway bars bushings and links can wait and the links require an air wrench so you may have to go to the shop for that. Oh, you didn't mention it, but how old is the battery and when was the last time the brake fluid was changed? Batteries don't last forever and brake fluid absorbs water over time. Theo
