I got tired of vacuuming out the pool so I bought a Dolphin pool cleaning robot. It's awesome! But it didn't have a cart. So I saw another one on Craigslist for $100 that had a cart (Dolphin Triton PS Plus). The guy said it was working fine, but the cable went bad. Well the cable is $300! But i only needed the cart. So I bought it and was going to part out the power supply, filters (came with a new set), robot, etc.
I did a continuity check and found out that the swivel joint was the problem. There are three pins and round contactor plate. Two of the pins were corroded. Hit it with a wire brush and bingo! Now I have two working robots! They will probably kill me whilst I sleep, but it's worth it as I don't have to vacuum out the pool now!
This damn thing goes for about $1,000 new.
