The storm has passed, and we received 1.55 inches. The lakes will all be full again for sure. Now we are hoping it stays cloudy the rest of the day and no sunshine to heat up the ground and atmosphere. With much heat and all the moisture it could make for some twisty winds and bad pookie this afternoon.
We have a birdhouse we put up for bluebirds. We had a pair of bluebirds, but the dang sparrows drove them out. The sparrows built this nest in there. The people in a different neighborhood have a parrot of some sort. They put it outside on occasion and we can hear it squawk. Evidently it sheds feathers, and the sparrows use them as nesting materials.
