An impressive show of restraint and respect passing an endless parade of Boxsters.

From my one race there in 2000, I well remember the advice about #15: Don't find yourself still on the exit curbing coming out of the corner at the end of the curbing, as dropping off into the divot in the dirt at the curbing end will find you backward hard against the pit wall to the right.

I have long wondered about accelerating earlier (especially at or before the apex) out of a corner versus maximizing your friction circle all the way through, which could include even braking past the apex. But segment timing, which I suspect Scott does, ought to answer the "which way is faster" question for a given car. If you reach the same track out point going faster than by some other method, does it matter that you were WOT accelerating well before that point, or if you went to full WOT there? Though this also involves the calculation of the time saved by a shorter route versus a longer one, which complicates analysis.

But, as we tell our novice students, there are places to experiment with the edge or 11/10ths, and places not to. 15 would seem to be one of the latter. Especially if you have the legs of the other cars.
