I had the Bosch 044 fuel pump start to fail intermittently on me while driving. In looking for a replacement for the 044 I found it was discontinued in ‘21 and replaced by the new 200 series pump. The new 200 series pump is marketed as a bit better (15% lighter and 15% more flow) and as a direct replacement to the old 044. Be warned it is not. It has different size fuel fittings, so you can't just reuse your old connections, and they reverse the electrical connections (044 had large diameter pos post and small diameter neg post. The 200 flips that). These are minor issues, but also quite annoying for what is supposed to be a drop in replacement. The new one is quieter though, which is nice.
