Shark bite fittings - I am a believer
So the past month or so one of our outside spigots was getting harder to turn off . Almost impossible for my wife unless she had gloves on . I went in the basement , looked the plumbing over and off to the big box hardware store I go .
The current spigot is plumbed with 1/2" CPVC and of course no shut off on the inside . Was pondering glue vs shark bite and decided on the latter. Bought a 1/4 turn ball valve spigot and a straight through ball valve for inside . Both are shark bite design .
Between shutting off the well pump , cutting out the old and installing the new I had 15 minutes spent . Super easy and no leaks . The 1/4 turn outside spigot is how every house should be plumbed in my opinion . And now I don't have a can of primer and a can of glue just waiting to setup before the next use 😋
