Hello. I have a 1998 Boxster and when I put the key in the ignition, it will not turn. I even ordered a new key by my VIN and still nothing. I went under the dash and removed the ignition switch and tried to turn it with a flathead screwdriver and all the light come on but is the car supposed to start considering the steering wheel is still locked because I couldn't use the key??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a former owner of a 1977 928, 1977 924, 1984 944, & a 1985 924s but I always wanted a Boxster and ran across this car very cheap and it came with a hardtop attached but I can not get it to start.
