One reason I would not recommend the amp's I am using to anybody without warning, getting to be old and is quite overcomplicated, factory service is still available but pretty sure it starts at $750 and up from there. Paradigm wants $3k for a replacement amp for my sub, I will be attempting to fix myself, have had pretty good success rate in the past, at worst add external amp.
Are you pretty sure about the M85? there are lots of very good amps in that range Mc Cormack DNA1, also a little higher power and cost BAT VK500.
Just had a friend pick up a BAT VKD5SE CD player in need of repair for me, being shipped out soon, always wanted to listen to one, another item to fix.
