Back in the 90's & when I was living in Lehigh Acres (Ft. Myers) I owned an '81 TR7 drop-head coupe. Then I found and purchased another one - a '76 coupe - just for it's parts.

On a subsequent trip up I-95 to visit my oldest brother in Virginia the transmission broke about an hour south of the North Carolina/Virginia state line. My brother came down with his car hauler and brought me back to his house. I ended up changing the transmission out in his driveway. The replacement was from that coupe! I called a friend of mine who broke into my garage and shipped it to me.

Drove her back home w/no issues!

I always thought that was a pretty good story to tell.

When I sold the car the buyer got quite a few spare parts to go with it!
