I drive my Porsche hard 80% of the time. I also lowered, corner balanced, and aligned it. With a stock set-up. So I very well know the differences. So no, it not a clowny thing to say.
Stock suspension works best at factory settings! IMO

Drove my 89 very hard at stock height and lower than euro ride height and i guarantee it handled significantly better at the lowered height.
It’s an absolute clown thing to say. Factory ride height is the way it is because of silly regulations. Not because it’s the “optimal setup”.
