Yes, today is my birthday......best day of the year (except Daaytona and LeMans) for racing! The Coke 600 is started finally and you can get a lot of things done during a race that long! I was talking with my daughter about all the racing I had done and there was a lot.
- Stock cars in 1962/3/4 on a 1/4 mile dirt track
- Motor cycles on road courses: Triumph 650 and a Harley XR650
- 1969 Camaro Z28 drag racing
- Bicycles for 10 years or so, got tired of having 400+ miles a week
- Porsche 1987 Turbo (wifes)
- Porsche 914 -4 then 1914-6 with VARA and HSR West

Now my joints are too sore to do that. For 10 or 12 years I made kites....larger and larger and got to fly all over the country with them (largest box kite in America)
Got tired of that and now make muzzle loading rifles which is a lot less stressful.
Finally fully retired after 20+ years in the US Navy as a nuclear machinist then 24 years as a senior Oracle DBA and college professor and on my 3rd bout of fighting cancer and so far it looks to be gone for good!

Oh yeah also have 5 daughters and that is what I am most proud of!
