She told me about driving to Tulsa, OK on Rt-66 and mom and he sister were in the back seat, patching the tubes, and putting the tires back on the rims. They had a multiple flats on a 200 mile round trip. That was typical for that era. They were ready for the next flat, their dad pumped up the tire, and changed the tire, took the tire from the rim, and handed it to them to fix.
