We had backyard drama in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago. Our Dachshund, Reuben actually caught and killed a bunny. It was not quite full grown, but it was shaken to death quickly.

He had his jaws clamped down and was not going to give it up. My wife placed him the the bed of my El Camino as a corral to keep him from going anywhere. I put a couple of treats on the bed of the Elky, and we could see his brain working. I finally put down the bunny, and went for the treats. I grabbed the bunny and took it to the compost pile to be buried.

Reuben has gotten a few mice, but this was a big prize he really did not want to give up.

This is just the mouse. No photo of the bunny, it was not photo worthy, just rather gross.
