I cut it down to a little wider than half of original size, painted it in my 'official garage colors" (Craftsman tool cabinet grey and red, ha ha) and put it in the corner as a drill press stand. (I decided against using one of the doors but I can always make that mod if dust and dirt become a problem inside the carcass. I figured an open front would be more convenient. Time will tell.)
It took an effort to decide to paint over the cherry wood, but I finally relented, told myself that it would have just ended up in the landfill if I hadn't of repurposed it.

Very cool project.
Dust and dirt will not be a problem. The first spider that moves in on the other hand will justify installing the door.
