The short version is - I bought and sold this car 4 years ago when the timing just wasn't right - and I was able to buy it back (at a premium) last week. Really happy to get it back. It's pretty well sorted for 138k miles. It's had a 8/10 respray with pretty much every rubber piece (except tail trim..get to that in a sec) replaced. Previous owner had the car since 2008 and apparently it was painted prior to his ownership - he was told it was sun faded, which is believable because the seats were faded as well (owner who had the car for the last 4 years DID replace the seats with mint originals, so..whew!).
Anyway, for the tail trim - does anyone know the exact difference between the "original supplier) version and the actual porsche version? Does the non porsche one still have the crest any everything? The price difference is substatial...AND I'm sure many who are offering an original piece out there are actually selling you the repro.
