Yikes.
My son works for a law firm in Norfolk. He is very close to the owner and his entire family. They are Greek: Greek, Greek in the best way possible.
The owners wife, who ran the law firms admin and financial books, died at her desk 10 days ago. She was 59.
My Mother died at 60.
We don't know how many laps around the sun we are going to get, but we know how to prepare our affairs so the transition from sneakers up to sneakers down goes well for the family.
Do it.
BTW, I had a proposal due on a government contract so my wife, daughter and, of course, my son attended all the services and family events. I did not. All three said, without reservation, that the whole two days were spectacular in terms of family, faith and understanding.
Best.
