! That looks ouchy. Got a welder or at least a big buffing pad?

In order to route the antenna lead for the radio in the Golf Cabriolet, the dash facia has to come out. I had heard every VW dash of this vintage has cracked and broken fastener holes. I guess I'm lucky. Only two. JB weld is my friend , but no washers small enough to fit into the spaces.. 15 minutes with hacksaw and files and and two (rough) washers are in hand and stuck in place.
Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. I hope.

This was almost as much fun as making a hood prop hold down clip from a hard plastic block.
