Ok, insurance co is no help.
Call orthopedist's office, and ask the doc's MA if there is a recommended vendor for your area. For the bed to be covered by insurance, the vendor will require a prescription from the doctor. So maybe the doctor's office has an idea of who they've used in the past. (Or maybe they don't.)
Call the hospital. Or heck, call any local hospital. Ask for a nurse case manager. These are RNs (or social workers) who are tasked with setting up discharges for inpatients, whether it is to a rehab/SNF or to home with home services. Each hospital floor/ward/service will have a nurse case manager assigned to it. You should be able to get ahold of at least one of these nurses to help you figure out a local vendor. Maybe ask for "discharge planning."
Or else, Google local providers.
