You guys are great! All those years learning language and culture from Kiwis and Aussies in the bus! It probably took me the first two years to learn their accent and lexicon on cars or parts. Late 90's I rented a room to the biggest parts JDM supplier to AUS @ 70 containers a year then, him from Sydney. He was with me for two years and used that term a lot. I think he explained it once and I thought it meant Fed or government workers had guaranteed income. Please teach me... is that at all synonymous?
