Some sort of wasp that, I assume, is eating the contents of the mason bee "nests" (mud-sealed tubes)
regal or bold (similar other than size) jumping spider eating a "wheel bug"
Never did figure out what this guy was, but he was big.
Interesting fungus
Regal (maybe bold) jumping spider feasting on a cicada. When I found them, the cicada was on the porch, and the spider was feasting from underneath so I couldn't see him. I tried to pic up the cicada to show the grandsons, and couldn't (easily) I kept pulling harder and harder until I heard a "click" which I assume was me tearing it out of the grasp of the spider. That's when I saw the spider in between the boards under the cicada. I apologized to the spider and set the cicada back down so he could finish. He thanked me by posing for a photo opp a bit later.
