Maybe this belongs in a "Why Men Hoard Things" thread or the craigslist garage sale thread.
Sitting here googling various winch systems, bare AC motors, pulley parts and I remembered something I'd gotten from a neighbor a couple of years back.
Brand new in box never used. My wife asked "what are you going to do with that?"
Well maybe I now have an answer.
All the parts I need are there and can be manually operated right away and later I can add a standard wall mounted hand crank or a motor and pulley if that even becomes necessary.
