A bi-fold opening to the right was originally considered but ultimately dismissed.
The wall faces East so gets full sun from 7am till 3 pm.
It’s TX, the sun is brutally strong which is something you may have familiarity with where you live.
Flipping up should keep the glare off and mitigate weird shadows from the pergola awning.
