Hey everyone! Posting this for my dad. He's currently in the process of purchasing a 1975 914. It's a one owner, garage kept car with 92,000 miles. Hasn't been on the road in about 30 years.
If you were just pulling a 914 out of a garage like he is, what are the first things you would check/replace? Obvious things include plugs and wires, tires, brakes and oil.
Badging on the car says it's a 1.8, but the current owner thinks it has a 2.0. We won't really know until we can get a good look at the engine. Still has the factory fuel injection. I know these were prone to fires. I'm assuming it's fuel lines that were normally the culprit?
