I think it is great.
The NCAA, like the PGA, has no one to blame but themselves for the current reshuffling: They have both been resistant to change and tone-deaf for a long time...fiddlers in the dance band on the big T.
I grew up on the Pac 8 and Pac 10 but those days are over: I haven't seen a non-bowl game with a two Pac 12 schools playing in 10 years. The Pac 12 has become irrelevant. I wish it wasn't so.
College football is largely a regional sport now dominated by the SEC and other notable Southern and Northern tier schools: TV rating have been in decline for years. Watching PAC 12 highlights on SC is crazy: The stands are 1/2 full at times.
Georgia playing Tennessee Chattanooga in September is not exactly must see TV.
I also read that USC gets 30 Million a year now for TV broadcast rights - they stand to make 100 Million in a few years and will be seen on TV.
BTW, the old Bowl Game structure and mythical national championship was a wrist corsage at the prom: You had to get one but no one remembers why and it was trashed and forgotten in a day.
