That too...I wouldn't advise anyone to go into debt to buy tools, but if you can afford it, buy now...I have the feeling it's only going to get worse. I'm glad I bought the majority of mine a long time ago. Mostly USA Craftsman which some tool snobs sneer at, but they've worked pretty damned well for me over the years.

Another thought is to cruise garage and estate sales. You never know what will pop up. I have a friend who built a pretty impressive tool collection that way.
