I had that happen years ago. Had a rock chip was told it could be fixed and insurance would cover it. I contacted the agent who told me no you have $100 on glass. I went into his office with a $100 bill and an invoice for $900 for a factory windshield. HE cut me a check for $50 to get the chip fixed on the spot.
