I say enjoy. I have done a lot of modifications to all my cars some are easily returnable to stock others not so much. Even my turbo has some mods but I have all the original parts and can easily convert it back and enough spares to build a few. Preserving the seats is a smart Idea but wrap them up nicely and keep them in a climate controlled room. Those bolsters will wear eventually and someday you will probably appreciate it.
