I hear you. They're just too slow for the most part and it's no fun driving your mirrors. I went for years with an SC, then a 993 (really not a great track car stock), but after that went water cooled... At some point 10y back or so I resurrected the SC and made it into a backdated track car, light weight and very sticky tires... It did OK in turns and was fun to drive in isolation, but on the straights I could not even setup a proper line for the next turns because I was so busy giving point bys to GT3s ;-) Every other car on PCA track days was a weapon - Water cooled GT3, GT3 RS.
I have not been for a few years, I wonder how it is now, with GT3s being priced stratospherically, I wonder of people may be taking them to the track as much ? I hope so...
