The "colder than a witches tit" is not a reference to a breast. I read an interesting report on that saying. In the days of the Salem witch trials if someone had a tumor or growth on an arm or face, it often had restricted blood flow, and felt cold to the touch. The people believed it was caused by being touched by a witch, and it was an evil sign of impending death. Since it was caused by the witch, it was a witches tit.
Colder that a well digger's ass is kinda obvious and need no explanation.
