It's like those lazer 917's.. it just looks awkward (though this 904 is much much better looking and not as far off from the real thing than the lazers were)

Thanks, now I clearly see it. He lost some of the curves, made it look like a cardboard cut-out by comparison. Guess those old 2D drawings didn't truly capture the 3D curves or they were inaccurate, or he didn't faithfully follow them? Who knows?
