I raided up 4 more sprinkler heads. One one was real challenge as a massive tree root had grown around the connection on the bottom of the head.
It was so tight onto the fitting that even after I had finally cut through to root, I had to use my largest screwdriver to pry the root off of the sprinkler head. The sprinkler in the photo is an old one, and I did not have to remove the head I was fighting with. Once the root was removed, it was easy to position the head.
I raised up one other head that had the roots suck it down as well. It was in a nice hunk of Bermuda grass and the plug of grass came out easily as a big hunk. I got it a little too high, and when I mowed yesterday, I had a episode of profanity and then some cussing. It was easy to swap in a new head, and it is low enough to not get hit by the mower again.
