Dems voting in accord with Repubs was a result of Clinton's (mostly) centralist views. Would they vote that way now? I bet they would.
Bush is the Democratic problem; not necessarily what Bush has done. Taxes, the war, etc. are hard to take back as if they've never happened. Getting Bush out is the main Democratic driving force.
That's why a DC insider like Kerry will get the Dem. nod soon.
