So wife and I went on a trip with another family this weekend and my friend saw that I was watching qualifying yesterday and the race today. I let out a groan when Ferrari put Leclerc on the hards. I had to explain to him the nuances of F1, strategies with tires etc. He's a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, so the analogy that stuck with him is that Ferrari are the Cowboys of F1. They both are the most prestigious team in their sport, a great history whose best years are behind them, and when they are threatening to have a great season, they make terrible decisions that ruins it for them.
How many blunders can a team make in a year? I bet even Max wishes he had some more competition.
Great race though.
