Over twenty in the Seabees, Dad a Marine. I probably have a far greater chance of getting waxed in my early T. Unfortunatly, if you have had the "pleasure" of facing a burgler in your house armed or otherwise, it changes your whole perspective. And with all respect for the police, they will not be there when it is "Brass Tacks" time. The rough part is afterwards, you never feel secure, but at least you and your wife and kids are still breathing.
Rifles and pistols are everything that one can fear, but for the crook, well, they do not want to work that hard. For those opposed to gun ownership, don't own one, but don't leave me without the right to choose.
