We wanted open floorplans when we went shopping, and an open floorplan is why we bought this house. 1950 build, but a PO opened the kitchen, living room and dining room all into one grand room, which runs clear between the front and back of the house with only 2 pillars to break it up.
This room is 45 feet long and 20 feet wide:
The rest of the house is smaller classic rooms along a hallways, but the master suite was expanded, and the center of the original U-shaped floorplan was filled in with a 14x14 vaulted ceiling dining room, which is an impressive room by itself.
