That would be an understatement. Wednesday morning, I’m going to get my usual cup of caffeine on Larchmont, a popular little village/walk street in Los Angeles. As I approach Larchmont on 3rd, I can see that the traffic light is out and someone is directing traffic to turn right only. When I get to the corner, I can see why as there are a couple of crashed cars including one overturned 100 yards past the intersection. Bottom line is that someone was speeding west, someone else turned right on red in front of them and the westbound vehicle swerved, lost control and barrel rolled/flipped through the air before landing upside down.
The physics were so violent that she took out a telephone pole 8’ off the ground, (snapped it like a toothpick), as well as damaged a tree pretty badly. She died at the scene, hanging from her seatbelt.
I said at the time that it was one of the worst crash scenes I’d ever seen. Then the next day, this:
