I'm fortunate to work remote (BC) and am toying with the idea of living in different areas while I am able to. I own a condo in a desirable location in SoCal. Rather than dealing with the hassles of renting, and not being able to do short-term rentals per HOA, I am considering swapping residence with people with similar desires.

Anyone have experience with this or can recommend good sites to work through? My biggest fear, living in an extreme liberal and entitled state is losing my home to someone who tries to take up permanent residence. No joke, this has happened.
