With the scout I built last year that response makes sense.

There is a slight learning curve when it comes to LS lingo and the swap. I had to take a crash course in Southern Hospitality on the forums and calls I had in the scout world.

The pedal, being electronic, you get an actual floor mounted pedal in the crate package...

The Hinge style is what is on some models of 911. With the stock 911 pedal you can add a resistance switch (similar to scouts) that just measures throttle/pedal %.... I would advise against it.

With the floor pedal setup, you are using the entire crate "kit" and sounds like they have an in house solution for that... which I will be going with.

Side note: Check smog for NYC re: swaps. I used to live there for 13yrs and had some issues w my classic range rover. The LS I did the swap for was old enough to skirt emissions.

I am doing an LS3 E-Rod conversion here in California to be CARB/Smog compliant.
