Beach Sweep
This morning my grand daughter and I rowed across the river to a beach which tends to collect debris, courtesy of prevailing winds and people who DGAF. The haul included bottles, disposable lighters, shotgun shells and wads, a propane cylinder, a pair of splash pants, a kit bag, two backpacks and an 8x8 tent. About 50 to 60 lbs in all.
As we approached the beach, my grand daughter was excited to see some young coyotes playing on the shore. From the tracks, I would say they had been having a lot of fun for a while.
The sweeps are a tradition which started 35 years old ago with my son and daughter.
