That depends on the politician of the day. If like the GW1 then yes, they will never be tested as anything other than a long range sniper of enemy planes, especially with the new long range missile being tested. If more like VN, then yes, within visual, but they do have some good capability there as well. So does the F35 as far as sensors go.
