I love my 2017 double cab with the 5.7 V-8, and 4 wheel drive. 56k and not a single problem. Tows a dump bed gravel trailer at 10,000 pounds without issue.
The only thing - a squirrel chewed a hole in a vent line from the gas tank. Set off the "check engine" light. They rubber line was
part of the gas tank (so they told me). Cost $1900 to repair a hole in a vent line.

Exactly. I was at the dealer getting my gas tank replaced. There was a Taco and an Tundra in the show room. The prices were shockingly similar. I asked the salesman why anyone would ever buy a Tacoma. He shook his head, said he sure as hell wouldn't.
