Yesterday I was on the porch and saw this little lady. She had this spider bigger than she was paralyzed on the porch. I then watched her drag him backwards nearly 7' up a wall. Pretty impressive, although it might be gruesome for the spider who's going to be eaten alive when her kids hatch.
We also have tarantula hawks around here that look about the same other than being 2-3" long. I've seen a tarantula, and 2-3 tarantula hawks. I'd love to see then do battle one day. It's tough to get a good pic of the tarantula hawk because they don't let you get very close.
