For some reason the factory tool roll for my 911 was kept by a previous owner, so I have never had it. For around town driving I have enough tools to jack the car up and replace a tire, and a large trash bag to put the old dirty tire in the haul it home. Never needed to do that in 27 years.
I also carry the tools to replace the fan belts, but I replace them every few years so it is unlikely I will have that issue either.
For road trips, I carry a painters coveralls made of Tyvek, gloves, hand cleaner, and a stand set of wrenches, sockets, and zip ties, duct tape, a kneeling pad, and several towels. So far in my travels, I have had zero issues. When it get down to it, my cell phone is the most important tool.
