I joined the PCA a solid year or two before attending anything. I had a vision in mind of people that drove their brand new cars and wouldn't have the time nor the desire to welcome a working college kid driving an old 1966 912 that was deep in the process of restoration.

But I was wrong. And Glen was one of the friendliest people in the club. He, and others, made me feel very welcome regardless of my own personal views of myself or my Porsche. In fact that experience is what influenced me in how I treated new attendees to any event. I went out of my way to be friendly and talk to them.
