I also use that paint on the 968 fan shroud & rad cap....it is call Dupli-Color metal cast it's a Anodized paint , when apply properly will last a long time --0n metal--aluminium--& even Chrome.Parts should be exempt of rust or dirt so you need to clean then well .Apply a first coat very ligthly & keep building it up until you reach the desire hue.NB this paint is also heat & grease proof.Sending you some pics .
